The Precision Educator – Season 1, Episode 6: Gen AI: Inside the First Generation of AI-Native Medical Students

In this episode of The Precision Educator, Dr. Larry Chu and Dr. Viji Kurup turn the conversation over to three medical students with distinctly different experiences using AI. Morgan Brinker, Shad Skawratananond, and Chance Lee describe how tools such as ChatGPT and OpenEvidence have become integrated into their day-to-day learning, from filling conceptual gaps left by flashcard-based studying to preparing for cases and rapidly exploring new clinical questions. Their experiences offer a window into what it actually means to learn medicine when an always-available AI tutor is never more than a screen away.
