Goals and Objectives of Committee:

1) Provide a forum for research in anesthesiology education
2) Provide resources, advice and mentorship to educators planning and
conducting research
3) Administer SEA research award
4) Review and moderate meeting abstracts
5) Work to align the SEA with FAER to promote education grant applications
6) Encourage members to produce high quality education research proposals and
engage in collaborative studies

Committee's Action Plan:

1) Divide abstracts into research and academic report subsections
2) Establish guidelines for abstract reviews
3 Foster ongoing basic and advanced research oriented workshops as a
continuing series for the Autumn and Spring Meetings
4) Collaborate with other committees on research protocol formulation and realization
5) Encourage more involvement from fellows, residents, and medical students in anesthesia research
6) Propose multi-centered studies of education in anesthesia
