Goals and Objectives

Provide a forum for
anesthesiology educators as they implement the mandate of the
ACGME's Outcomes Project
-
Identify new curriculum
and tools that focus on ACGME Competency based education and
evaluation

Maintain a portion of the
SEA Web site dedicated to highlighting ACGME Competency based
applications

Work in conjunction with
workshop and meeting Chairs to provided a continuing forum for
the discussion of new competency based ideas and their
application

Coordinate initiatives
with the Committees on Resident Curriculum, Resident Evaluation,
and Faculty Development to explore and promote novel
applications for competency based tools

Provide a nexus of
research for the validation of Competency based evaluation tools
-
Represent the SEA's work
on implementation of the ACGME Outcomes Project to the RRC for
Anesthesiology
